CEO and the Chair of the Executive Committee

 

Terence Wood

In April 2018 Terence Wood moved from Chairman of Aviabel to the position of CEO and the Chair of the Executive Committee as well as the Global Head of Aviation at AXIS. Terence has over 30 years of Aviation underwriting experience, held a glider pilot license and worked in several senior positions in both the London and Bermuda markets. Aviation has always been his passion and he joined Axis in 2002.

Enrique Flores – Chief Underwriting Officer

Enrique Flores has more than 15 years of experience as reinsurance underwriter, risk manager and risk consultant. Enrique joined Aviabel in 2012 as senior underwriter and business development manager, has led the legal and claims team from 2014 to 2015 and leads the underwriting team as from 2016.

 

 

 


Thierry Bourguignon – Chief Operating Officer, Certified Compliance Officer

Thierry Bourguignon is member of the Aviabel Executive Committee. He had already been working in the insurance sector for twenty years when he moved to Aviabel in 2012. He holds the position of Chief Operating Officer, and is also the Certified Compliance Officer recognised by the supervisory authority (FSMA).

 

 

 

Alfred Kroeger – Head of the Amsterdam office

Alfred Kroeger moved to Aviabel following takeover of De Nederlandse Luchtvaartpool. He is in charge of the Amsterdam branch office. Alfred has over 25 year international experience in aviation insurance.

 

  

 




Richard van Spaendonck – Head of Legal & Claims

Richard is a very experienced professional in industrial and international risks including more than 10 years' experience in Specialty Claim. Richard has taken over the role of Head of Legal & Claims in June 2016.





 


Stijn Keppens – Head of General Aviation

Being active as an aviation underwriter within Aviabel for more than 10 years now, Stijn joined the management team in 2016. He is in charge of the General Aviation business unit as well as the Loss of Licenses activities.






 The entire team:
